Trust & Privacy
Is Clottr safe? Your privacy in plain language
Clottr uses your photos only to make your try-ons and to screen them automatically for prohibited content. We never use your data to train AI, we never sell it, and we don't identify you from your photos. You can export or delete your data from the app at any time.
This page is a plain-language summary. The Privacy Policy is the full, binding text.
The short answers
We never train AI on your data
Not your photos, wardrobe, chats or preferences. Our contracts with AI providers forbid them from training on your content too.
We never sell your data
Nothing you give us is sold, licensed or shared for anyone else's commercial purposes. We don't profile you for advertising.
Your selfie doesn't identify you
We create no biometric templates such as a face print, and we don't use your photos to recognise who you are.
Delete everything, any time
Tap “Delete my data” in Profile settings and your data is removed from our active systems immediately. Encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
An EU company
Clottr is run by NOVSI IT Ltd in Sofia, Bulgaria, under the GDPR. Our database and servers are in the EU, and providers outside it work under EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Encrypted at every step
On your device, on the way to us (TLS 1.2 or higher) and in storage (AES-256). Read how we protect it on our security page.
What we collect, and why
Each kind of data, and the reason we need it.

- Your photos
- The try-on poses you take and photos of your clothes, to create your try-ons, run your wardrobe and screen uploads automatically for prohibited content.

- Website visits
- The pages you view on clottr.ai, clicks on our own buttons and links, the page and campaign that brought you, your browser, device, language, time zone and country, through PostHog in the EU. No cookies and nothing stored on your device, and it is never linked to your email or an account.
Your photos
Your selfie and try-on poses are the most personal things you give us, so here is exactly what happens to them.
What we keep
The photo you upload, the studio pose image Clottr makes from it, and the try-ons you create. They are stored privately in your account.
Who looks at them
Moderation is automated. A person only looks at a specific image if it is reported for breaking our Terms, if you send it to us yourself, or if the law requires it.
Which services process them
Photos are stored in Cloudflare R2 and processed by Runware (try-on generation) and Groq (image analysis). Neither may train on them.
When they are deleted
Immediately, when you delete your data in the app.
Who else handles your data
Each works under a data processing agreement, and none may use your content to train AI. Payments go through the App Store or Google Play, so we never see your card details.
